Tornado

This was such a cute book. Pete was nice enough to tell stories of his dog, Tornado, while waiting for a tornado to pass.  The stories kept the kid’s minds off the tornado going on outside their cellar doors.  It also kept their minds off the fact that their dad was out there somewhere; he wasn’t close enough to make it in the cellar.  This reminds me of pass times I have spent comforting my kids through hurricanes and keeping their minds off what was going on outside.
