Clearly, B. (1998). Ramona and Her Father. New York, NY: Scholastic Inc.
The book opens with Ramona writing her Christmas list, but is saddened by the fact that her father lost her job. They do their best to go on, and Ramona starts telling her father to stop smoking by making signs and placing them everywhere. Dad finally gets a job, but now Ramona is disappointed about her costume in the church play. It’s basically her pajamas inside out, but she gets comforted by simply painting her nose p\black, oh, she was a sheep in the three wise men.
Dialogue; There was a lot of dialog in the story, some was simple, but it showed there way of thinking and helped put an image in the readers head. Precise Vocabulary; The vocabulary in this story is pretty simple because it is written for elementary school age kids.
